EMF for Health

The EMF for Health Laboratory, BIOEM LAB, is equipped with high-performance workstations and software for computational electromagnetics (SEMCAD-X by SPEAG Schmid & Partners Engineering AG, Zurich), cutting-edge computational anatomical models of different ages and gender from Virtual Population* (six children and adolescents aged from 5 to 14 years old, four adults, and three pregnant women at 3, 7 and 9 months of gestational age), portable magnetic field and RF dosimeter systems.

IT HEAR

Laboratorio di Bioingegneria per il sistema uditivo e acustica-BIOAUDIO: The laboratory is equipped with systems for professional audio and speech acquisition and editing, devices to perform clinical audiological testing (such as pure tone and speech audiograms, otoacoustic emissions measurements), systems for ambient level noise measurement and a soundproof booth for psychoacoustic response measurements.

Robotics

The Robotics Laboratory is is equipped with hardware and software infrastructures to develop experimental robotics activity.

Tissue Engineering

Tissue Engineering laboratory is equipped with high-performance workstations and software for computational modeling, different bioreactor systems (perfusing bioreactor, portable electro-magnetic stimulating bioreactor, parallel plate systems with fluid flow induced shear stress stimulation), and a laboratory fully equipped for biomaterial realization and characterization.
