People - Claudia Ferraris


Claudia Ferraris received the degree in Information Science (summa cum laudae) from the University of Turin, Italy, in 1997. In 1998 she worked as researcher at the CSTV of the National Research Council (CNR) dealing with Image and Video Coding Algorithms. Then, in 1999, she worked as researcher at the IRITI - CNR (Istituto di Ricerca sull'Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni e dell'Informazione) dealing with Motion Estimation Algorithm in the H263 video coding standard. After that, from 1999 to the beginning of 2008, she worked as software developer at the aerospace company Alenia on the Eurofighter project; from 2008 to the middle of 2011 she worked as software developer and Senior IT at the car dealership company Gruppo Dinamica; until early 2012 she worked as software developer in the automotive area, supporting different car dealerships. Currently, she has started research activities for the "Associazione Amici Parkinsoniani Piemonte Onlus" at the IEIIT-CNR (Istituto di Elettronica e di Ingegneria dell'Informazione e delle Telecomunicazioni) in the healthcare monitoring and rehabilitation applications for patients suffering from Parkinson's disease, integrating image and video processing algorithms with the information from 3D devices (Microsoft Kinect).
