Francesco Guidi received the M.S. degree (summa cum laude) in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Bologna, Italy, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Information technologies both from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris, France and from the University of Bologna, in 2013. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Marie-Curie Fellow at CEA-LETI, Grenoble, France, and in 2019 he was a Visiting Researcher at Stony Brook University, NY, USA.

Francesco Guidi received the M.S. degree (summa cum laude) in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2009, and the joint Ph.D. degree in information engineering from École Polytechnique, Paris, France, and the University of Bologna, in 2013. From 2015 to 2017, he held a research position funded by an individual European Marie-Curie Fellowship with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), LETI, in Grenoble, France. He is currently a Senior Researcher with the National Research Council of Italy, the Institute of Electronics, Computer, and Telecommunication Engineering. He was awarded with the IEEE Marconi Prize Paper Award in Wireless Communications in 2025, and he was the recipient of the Best Student Paper Award at the International Conference on UltrawideBand Paris, France in 2014, and the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Autonomous Systems Montreal, Canada in 2021. In 2022 and 2023, he was recognized as an Exemplary Reviewer for IEEE Communications Letters. He is currently an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, and was a Guest Editor for the IEEE Internet of Things Journal and IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems. He was an Associate Editor for IEEE Wireless Communications Letters in the period 2021-2025.
