CNR Opens Its Doors to the Public in Turin: July 9, 2026

 

The Outreach and Communication Group of the Turin Research Area (DeCART), in collaboration with Centro Scienza Onlus, is organizing a day dedicated to discovering the research that drives five Institutes of the National Research Council (CNR).
Explore science through laboratories, the environment, and art, featuring guided tours, talks, and a painting exhibition on the occasion of the fourth edition of the “Un grado e mezzo” Festival.
In the morning: Children from summer camps will experience a scientific adventure filled with experiments and discoveries guided by scientists from the five Research Institutes.
In the afternoon: The doors will open to adults and families, featuring laboratory tours, talks, and a painting exhibition.
The tour will cover crucial topics such as:
The challenges posed by an aging population
Nature-based solutions to promote well-being and sustainability
The latest discoveries in bioelectromagnetism, the discipline studying the role of electric and magnetic fields in biological processes.
