On 7–8 July 2025, the city of Pisa will host the workshop “CNR–UNIPI Synergy for Scientific and Social Challenges”, an initiative born from the collaboration between the Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering of the National Research Council (CNR-IEIIT) and the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa (DII).
The event represents an opportunity for dialogue and exchange between the National Research Council (CNR) and the academic world, aiming to strengthen and expand synergies on scientific and technological topics of strategic importance—both nationally and internationally—while placing particular emphasis on social and economic impacts at the local level.
The workshop will feature a rich program that includes:
- scientific contributions from researchers and faculty members of both institutions;
- thematic round tables focusing on current and future challenges in the technological, industrial, and social domains;
- institutional speeches promoting strategic dialogue on research policies and the role of collaborations between public research bodies and universities.
This first edition of the workshop aspires to launch a structured and ongoing path of joint initiatives, capable of enhancing the expertise, resources, and potential within both institutions, contributing to the development of the research ecosystem and the transfer of knowledge to society.
