RF and Microwave Active Circuits for Communication Systems

This research activity deals with the development of front-end electronics circuits for transceiver in any possible phase and architectural block. It starts with the device and technology characterization, following with the CAD design possibly with dedicated model implementation, ending with the realization and performance test phases. The application domains are communications and remote sensing, both passive (radiometer) and active (radars), without disregarding satellite/avionic area.

Power Electronic Converters for Industrial and Automotive Applications

This laboratory deals with the development of electronic power converters and drivers for transducing electric energy in any other desired form. It starts with using and characterizing the latest technologies for the circuit design and possibly ends with the realization and laboratory test.  The application fields are both for industrial and automotive domains, without disregarding the issue of power refill of energy accumulation devices in portable and/or mobile systems.
