Water Analysis with Embedded photonic Sensors

The project aims to develop a prototype of a photonic sensor based on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology for the analysis of chemical and/or microbiological contaminants dispersed in aqueous matrices. The planned activities include the development of the optical sensor, the microfluidic circuit required to supply the sensor, the control electronics, as well as suitable packaging to ensure the proper operation of the system. In addition, a functionalization protocol will be developed to make the sensor specific to target analytes.

PARTNERS & CNR-IEIIT ROLE
