Ivan Cibrario Bertolotti received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in computer science from the University of Torino, Italy. He has been a Researcher with IEIIT-CNR since then. He has taught graduate courses on real-time operating systems, has co-authored three books on the same subject, and holds several international patents. His research interests include real-time operating system design, industrial communication protocols, as well as modeling languages and runtime support for cyber-physical systems.
