PierluigiDebernardi received the Degree in electronics engineering from Politecnico diTorino,Turin, Italy, in 1987. Since 1989, he has been with the Italian National Council of Research at Politecnico di Torino. He is currently involved in modeling and designing VCSEL structures with noncircular and/or complex geometries, so as to achieve specific performances. His research interests include the field of the modeling of semiconductor materials and devices for optoelectronic applications.
