Lucanos MarsilioStrambini

/Researcher

Lucanos Strambini (Electronic Engineering degree and Information Engineering Ph.D.) was a research fellow at the University of Pisa, and since 2016 he is a researcher of the Italian National Research Council. He has achieved significant skills for the design, fabrication, and characterization of new materials and solid-state devices, as well as for their integration on the same chip, to get complex micro-nanosystems for applications in: photonics, microelectronics, environment, biomedics, energy harvesting.

Lucanos Strambini received the degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2002 and 2007, respectively. From January 2007 to December 2014 he was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Information Engineering Department of the University of Pisa, where since January 2015 to December 2016 he was a junior Researcher. Since 2015 he has been professor of "Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation" and of “Electronic” at the School of Engineering of the University of Pisa. Eventually, since December 2016 he has got a Researcher position at Italian National Research Council (CNR).

He has achieved in his career significant skills for the design, fabrication, and characterization of new materials and solid-state devices, as well as for their integration on the same chip, by using the silicon technology, to get complex microsytems. In last ten years, he has carried out research activity on different topics (porous silicon, silicon micromachining, photonic crystals, microneedles, silicon/metal nano-machining, polymer and glass technology) for different applications (optics, space, microelectronics, environment, biomedics), always going beyond the stae-of-the-art.

He has/had active participation to several international and national research projects, working in collaboration with researchers and engineers from national and international research institutions and companies.
