Dr. Alberto Tarable received his PhD degree in 2002, from Politecnico di Torino. Since February 2012, he holds a research position at IEIIT. He is an author of several tens of papers in the field of Telecommunications. His main research topics have encompassed most aspects of the physical- and MAC-layer design of communications, such as channel coding, MIMO systems, phase-noise channels, multiuser receivers. His current interests are in smart environments, optical communications, crowdsourcing systems.
